Natural Ways to Increase Male Fertility; Natural is a Great Way to Go!

With more couples facing challenges trying to conceive, there is a need to find ways to increase male fertility.  Traditionally, the woman is the one who people point fingers at, but research suggests that more men are experiencing problems with fertility.

One of the first initial efforts made, is to improve the male’s sperm count.  The average number of sperm falls between 120 & 350 million per cc.  Sperm count that is low means that it has fallen to as low as 40 million per cc.   A low sperm count could be attributed to any number of things.  Pollution, smoking, drugs, radiation and even too much caffeine could all be easy answers to the problem.  It is advised that men try these things before getting into treatments of any kind, because if any of these factors could be changed naturally then it would be well worth a try.

Reducing exposure to chemicals is another critical contributor to increase male fertility.  Today, men have lower sperm counts, simply because as years have passed, we have developed more pesticides and other chemicals that drastically affect our environment.  Researchers say that in studies of how these chemicals affect the body, they have been able to see how they duplicate estrogen. While these chemicals can’t be completely avoided, there are several things that you can do to minimize contact with these substances.

One simple trick you can implement right away, is using paper products that don’t have chlorine in them.  Using nonbleached coffee filters, toilet paper and other paper products will also help you cut down on exposure to these chemicals.  Eating organic fruits and vegetables can also minimize exposure to pesticides and other chemicals that are used on produce.  Eating as natural as possible is always wise if you can do it.

The third thing that men can do to help increase their fertility, is to improve their diet.  The organic fruits and vegetables help minimize the exposure to chemicals, but fruits and vegetables offer the body vitamins and minerals it needs to be healthy.   Any foods that are filled with preservatives and additives can interfere, and keep in mind that anyone who is overweight is at risk for many conditions.  When men are deprived of nutrition, it has a much different affect on their ability to reproduce.  Not eating at all or not eating properly can impede the libido and bring about structural changes to men’s reproductive tissue causing them to be infertile.

Another natural way to increase male fertility is through a regular exercise regimen.  Exercise not only boosts your metabolism, but again can trigger healthy weight and function of your body’s organs to keep men fertile.  It’s all about balance, so overdoing it isn’t helpful either.  It’s best to start an exercise program that runs three to five times a week as your schedule allows.  The training to avoid and that will cause you to overdo it is hard training like body building, or engaging in training for marathons and Olympic type feats.

Lastly, taking nutritional supplements is also a great idea, and with all of the environmental factors of pollution and daily stress the deficiencies could be endless.  Zinc which is great for the immune system has been proven to increase the levels of a testosterone in men, so zinc can be helpful in many ways.  Lean meats and poultry are great sources of zinc, as well as beans and legumes.  You can certainly supplement your diet by taking a vegetarian coated capsule of between 100 to 200 milligrams per day.

As always talk to your doctor first, and see what your options are. Natural is always a good place to start, but everyone’s situation is different.
